Fortune and Glory, The Cliffhanger Game is a fast-paced game of high adventure, vile Villains, edge-of-your-seat danger, and Cliffhanger pulp Movie Action. Players travel the globe in search of ancient artifacts, fending off danger and Villains at every turn in a quest for ultimate reward. So strap on your adventure boots and goggles, fire up the engines on the seaplane, and grab some extra ammo for your revolver, the Nazis already have a head start and in this race for Fortune and Glory, there's no prize for second place!
Each player takes on the role of a pulp adventure Hero, hunting down ancient artifacts around the world and collecting Gear and Allies to help overcome the various Enemies, Dangers, and Villains that stand in their way. During each Game Round the Heroes roll off to determine the First Player then all get to Move (starting with the First Player), and then all get to Adventure (starting with the First Player). There are two resources in the game, Fortune and Glory. Heroes collect Glory by defeating Enemies and overcoming Dangers and then spend that Glory to Heal wounds and buy Gear and Allies. They collect Fortune by recovering Artifacts and selling them in cities.
In the Competitive Game, players race against one another to be the first to collect 15 Fortune. In the Cooperative Game, all of the Heroes work together toward a larger collective Fortune total as they race against a Vile Organization played by the game itself.

I love this game. It's intricate enough that I can play it with a discerning group of gamers, and simple enough that I can play with my whole family. All the pieces and parts really add to the theming, but also make for a truly exciting play experience each time we break the game out. As a fan of the genre, this game exceeds all my expectations.

Fortune and Glory
If you like thematic games and 30s and if you are not looking too much on the strategy part, you must have this game. In my opinion, FG is an outstanding game. However, you should consider this game as a thematic and not a strategic game. The background of the game took a lot of inspiration from movies like Indiana Jones or Allan Quatermann, but also from mafia related movies. The point is that the mixture gives a very nice entertainment.
One of the assets of the game is the 4 game modes:
- The competitive game where all the players are racing to be the first one having 15 fortunes coins. The competitive can also be played with team of players.
- The cooperative game where all the players are racing against an evil organization (Mafia or Nazis).
- The solo game that is also quite interesting to play and can be challenging with the maximum difficulty.
- The last mode is the competitive game, but including an evil organization, that gives a lot of entertainment with the possibility that no one wins the game…
This is a very good game with a lot of high quality materials, the pace is quite high and the cards (danger, events, enemy…) put you directly in the heart of the game.
The only weak point appears the game duration for a game including more than 6 players.
A good way to get away from daily life without too much hassle... A very good game!

I've played this one solo, with a couple of people, and with a big group. The solo version was intense, but the game really shines in a party when everyone is shouting and cheering at the dice rolls.
The difficulty is well-balanced: the game is never a blowout for either side.
On the downside, since the dangers aren't location-specific, we sometimes had heroes sneaking aboard submarines in the middle of the desert, and other nonsensical situations.
