Lost in space for centuries, the star ship Vostros disappeared with all its crew, on its final mission! Hurtling through interstellar space, the ship’s systems are still running; its Dark Stone Warp Drive still active, tearing open gates in the fabric of space and time that lead into the dark corridors and cold steel rooms of the ship. Though Darkness and death close in all around, there are many parts of this Derelict Ship yet untouched; amazing weapons and technology to be had if you can survive this terrifying voyage of the dead!
The Derelict Ship Expansion introduces a brand new OtherWorld for the Heroes to explore, full of shambling Necronauts, high tech Artifacts, and the cold terrors of deep space! Including a full set of 18 Map Tiles for this new Derelict Ship world (with all new Mine Rooms on the back), 3 deadly new Enemy Types (6 undead Necronauts, 3 Auto-Turret defenses, and 3 large, robotic B.E.A.C.O.N. Drones), a host of new game cards, and 6 challenging new Missions; the Derelict Ship will push your Heroes to the brink of madness, as the flickering lights and whispering voices in the dark close in all around. If you can survive, you may find futuristic weapons and unimaginable technology amidst the interstellar horrors of...The Derelict Ship!

Really like the new set. REALLY like the B.E.A.C.O.N. drones. Wish there was a couple more monster types in here though. Having such a drastically different set with not a bunch of new monsters for it makes it slightly disappointing. Adding to that, they didn't add any cards to the threat decks for these new monsters, which is the biggest disappointment of the set. Now, that said, the maps are fantastic and plentiful.

This expansion looks marvelous on both sides of the tiles and if you have any other Otherworlds it is so cool to have that multiple choice (enough to roll a D6 now – Targa, Jargono, Trederra, Ship, Cynder, Frontier Town/Mines). I really like that some of keywords used are starting to fill out, mostly "robot". Now getting those artifacts to effect keyword "robot" enemies from Targa becomes so epic before heading to Derelict ship yet the style is still unique when compared to Custodians or Guardians of Targa. Even the new intuitive Bleeding markers really ups the game!

Same great quality we've come to expect. Derelict Ships includes some nice tokens for money or xp.

This is a well thought out expansion with a theme that really sets it apart from the previous Other World expansions. The science fiction type starship tiles really stand out as quite unique in the SOB series. The additional game mechanic for grates is also a nice addition. The new enemy types really add some new strategies to the game as well. For those that have not already come up with an alternate source for keeping track of money, the coin tokens are a welcome, if overdue, addition. If I have any complaint then it would just be that there is no XL enemy for this Other World (hopefully FFP considers adding one in the future as an enemy pack).

Love everything about this game. My only complaint is that I wish the Necronauts were in the Basic Threat Monster decks, and I was really hoping for another Epic monster too. I do understand they could be found via other rules, but some more monsters threats would have made be give this 5 starts. Still well worth it and excellent as always

I couldn't wait for this expansion the day I heard that it was going to happen. FFP did not disappoint. It has been awhile since I've broke out SOB with my gaming group, but since the day I received this expansion it's arrival has marked a resurgence in game play and we couldn't be happier! I have enjoyed every expansion they have put out and this one is no exception! Finished painting up all the new really cool enemy types and we will be exploring the cosmos until the next expansion! A must have for any fan!
