Towns on the Old West frontier are full of danger and adventure around
every corner! The new Frontier Town Expansion for Shadows of Brimstone
allows players a deeper and richer Town experience between adventures,
adding exciting new types of Towns to find (such as Plague Towns, Outlaw
Towns, or Mutant Towns), 6 all new Town Locations to visit (such as the
Street Market, Sheriff’s Office, Indian Trading Post, or Smuggler’s
Den), a new expanded Travel Chart, and a deadly new ranged Enemy –
Bandits, for use both down in the Mines as well as in Town! With this
expansion, Heroes also have the opportunity to play out Adventures in
the Frontier Town, itself, using the new Town Adventure Board! Heroes
can protect the townsfolk while battling demons in the streets, have a
shootout with Bandits trying to rob the local bank, or find themselves
in a duel at high noon! With loads of new cards, counters, charts,
missions, and the new Bandit Enemies, you’ll never know what to expect
when you ride into a Frontier Town in Shadows of Brimstone!

This adds so much to the basic shadows experience I can see why most people call this a must have. Certainly one of the best expansions we've had a chance to try out so far.

We played the complete set of missions within a week as we thoroughly enjoyed the increased difficulty of the bandit scenarios. In addition, Frontier Towns adds so much to the regular game play with the expanded options for town stays.

This is a must have! New human enemies (bandits), tons of new stores with new items, new events, etc.

This expansions adds a fantastic level of depth to - what amounts to - practically half of the overall campaign gameplay: town visits. The old town mechanic now seems like a shallow memory. When you spend your time alternating between mines/other worlds and town, it truly makes the difference to know that not every town is identical. This brings the town portion of gameplay on par with the procedurally generated mine/dungeon-crawling that the series is so highly acclaimed for.

I was extremely impressed. I've only had a chance to play a few times since getting this expansion, but man it was a much needed addition. Going to town is amazing, an adventure in itself. The only con I have is the duel solo game. I don't have enough room to set this board up and play along side everything else. Plus I'm detached from the group,I can't do anything else that day in town and everyone is waiting on me to advance. I will probably just remove this card from the daily event deck. I still rated it 5 stars, the specially towns are fun the new locations add so much as well. I don't believe you'll be let down adding this to your ever expanding adventure

The Frontier Town expansion is an excellent addition to SoB. Vastly expands the regular town (which now comes in three varieties) and even adds an entire set of Town-based adventures. New mechanics (cover, elevation, and more) are introduced that adds even more depth to this excellent game. For those not thrilled with assembling minis with fiddly little bits, the included new enemy is a single piece; just glue to its base, and viola.. you done. For those of you who love all those fiddly little bits, the detail on the models is reasonably good. All in all, a definite must have.
