Fresh from the Dark Stone Forge, we are excited to present the Limited Edition Ancient Gate of Targa!
This deluxe resin terrain piece depicts a massive and ancient stone portal, flanked by monolithic alien statues on either side of the shimmering gate! Constructed eons ago by the Ancients of the Targa Plateau, these powerful portals could create stable gateways to OtherWorlds across all of time and space. A stunning centerpiece, this set also includes a brand new Mission using the Ancient Gate in your games of Shadows of Brimstone.
Mission: When Worlds Collide - An ancient alien portal has been unearthed in the hills and accidentally activated by a local group of miners, creating a shimmering gateway in the weathered stone portal. With an arc of crackling energy, the alien Void Crystals powering the gate overloaded and shattered, scattering fragments of crystal across space and time! As the gate flickers, cycling its connection through several different worlds, it wreaks havoc across dimensions. The Heroes must race against time to venture through the gate and recover the fragments of shattered Void crystal from across worlds before the stone portal overloads and explodes!
This set includes an all-new scenario set piece for Shadows of Brimstone: the mysterious and alien ANCIENT GATE from the Targa Plateau, plus a new Mission that utilizes multiple Worlds and a brand new Void Storm Depth Event chart to add extra challenge to Adventures. As the Heroes hunt for the fragments of a shattered Void crystal, the malfunctioning Ancient Gate shifts its connection between worlds and begins to merge them, crossing the World Card effects and Enemies of one World onto the next!
The Ancient Gate model is cast in high-detail resin and hand-poured inhouse by Flying Frog Productions. This stand out piece is easy to paint and will make an excellent addition to your Shadows of Brimstone collection! We have limited quantities due to the cost and difficulty to cast.

Not worth the price

The plastic model itself is very low quality compared to modern standards. super low res.
The mission it comes with is on a flimsy piece of paper. Not even card stock.
These kits should be $30 at best, if not $20.
Total crash grab and I will not be buying any more of these sets. Plenty of other amazing products by these guys that are worth the money. Sadly this line does not match up.

This piece was more demanding to paint than some of the other DS Forge pieces, with its central swirling vortex feature. However, once completed, it is a stunning piece of terrain. Well worth the effort and time spent to get it right. Definitely one of the better looking DS Forge casts once painted.
The included rule set is novel, and compliments the terrain piece well.
This is another one of my favorite DS Forge Pieces.

This piece is way bigger than I expected. In hand it is awesome. Cant wait to paint it up and get it on the board.
