Shadows of Brimstone: Trederran Banshee Shock Troopers
Armed with devastating Shockwave guns, the Banshee Shock Troopers of Trederra are close range heavy assault troops, beaming out rays of sonic death to blow apart fortifications and scatter defenders. They are deployed as a vanguard to a larger force, clearing barricades and toppling buildings to clear a path for troop formations and the steel beasts of the tank corps. Formed into small teams of specialists, they often accompany other Trederran formations on the battlefield.
This Enemy Pack contains everything you need to engage the heavy Trederran Banshee Shock Troopers in battle. Included are 3 Banshee Shock Trooper models, the large Enemy Record Sheet for them, the Beam Template and counters, and all of the Threat Cards and Faction Cards needed to add these deadly Enemies to your games of Shadows of Brimstone.
Models are Thermal Plastic Miniatures manufactured in the USA and include 3 unique sculpts for Trederran Banshee Shock Troopers, and 3 x 30mm slotted Bases. Models are supplied unassembled and unpainted.

While not as sturdy as their regular plastic kits, the thermal plastic isn't too bad. It's easy to work with, superglue sticks great, and the detail is nice. I tried to clip the slot from the feet and on two of the models one of their legs snapped off. Glued back on fine, it just seems to snap easier.
Great heavy weapons team though, and a great addition to Trederra adding variation in the troops. They can hit pretty hardd and be devastating if they can line up a shot through multiple characters. Definitely need more Trederran troop types, and these work well.

Love the thermal plastics and I am very thankful that these types of miniatures are being offered to buy. I bought six sets of these dudes for the six different Trederran factions to paint up. Just completed them. A big fan of thermal plastics- for me, at least, easy to trim and easy to put together.

I love the sculpt and the unit in game. Thermal plastic is not my favorite it's too hard to work with both soft and flexible hard to trim off sprues and almost impossible to clean up the flashing well. When the models cast with almost no flashing they're great but too often have to clean up the flashing and it takes 5 to 10 times longer to clean up the flashing then a regular plastic miniature. Please go back to plastic or resin.

The idea for Trederran Weapons specialists, equipped with the different weapons of the weapons-of-war-cards is a brillant idea!
The special abilities in dependency of their faction is very well-thought and is fun to read. More spice for the armies of Trederra!
Maybe there are more special troops like these (with Dark Stone Laser Destroyers, DSC-4 Light Machine Gun, or the Frag Launcher) in the future? Definitely desired!
The material (Thermal plastic) of the figures, on the other hand, is extremly bad:
When removing the parts from their sprues, some smaller pieces (bags, antennas, etc.) blistered away. It seems that there was less softener in the compound this time. Also, when using a scalpel to remove smaller moldlines, the material scurf.
The moldlines are huge and fill the cooling ribs of the Shaockwave guns and lots of other small details. Scalpels don't work (see above) and even a heated needle isn't able to remove these moldlines.
Now the figures must stay in this stage, or they will be ruined.
Last time there was too much softener in the compound. The figures in this case were like rubber, but the problem of removing the moldlines from them persists. They looks frayed and nibbled after working on them.
Both cases aren't acceptable, even for this high price!
All materials before (HIPS, resin, etc.) had other negative effects, but with small parts of green stuff, a good scalpel, other tools, and some work you was able to remove all moldlines in a perfect manner!
THERMAL PLASTIC IS THE WORST OF THESE MATERIALS!

Even though these are thermal plastic and I do not care for the material in general since it is very hard to work with, these particular figures were designed very well and therefore had minimal flash. They went together easily and quickly. It was also nice to see some variance in the poses.
